Reading Marathon

I know, two posts in one day! I just have so much to share and I didn't wanted to leave out any of the fun! Thursday's Reading Marathon was a blast!! I loved getting to wear my pj's to school, I know you did too! You all looked so cute! Congratulations to Paul and Valerie for winning the marathon!! You both did A LOT of reading!! Way to go!! I also loved how great your bookmarks turned out! You really had some funny poses and they really make you look like you are "Falling Up!"

Spring is in the Air!

The sun is shining, the weather is warm and flowers are blooming. Spring is in the air! It is a perfect time for planting in Science! We started with different types of grass. We planted alfalfa grass and rye grass. Were you surprised how quickly the grass grew? Next week, we will create our terrariums with our snails, isopods and worms! Can't wait... :)

February Flew By!!

Wow! I can't believe how quickly February flew past us! It's already March and almost time for Spring Break! I know I'm ready!! Anyway, we had a busy month. First, we WON the door contest! So exciting!! Our door was awesome and I know you all worked so hard on it. Here is a picture of your hard work...

We have also been so busy working on our Biography project. Your research is coming along great, and I can't wait to see the finished products. Stay tuned....

Flat Stanley!

Most of our "Flat Friends" have already been sent out. Many of our letters have already been recieved!! This is so exciting!! Hopefully, our "friends" are busy visiting all of the different cities that we've sent them to. Before we know it, they will be on their way back to us. Of course, that is the best part!! I will keep updated our blog, that way we can keep track of who's coming back. Until then, HAPPY TRAVELS!!!

Happy 2012!

I hope you had a restful break and you are ready to face this new year head on! I know that last week it was hard for me to get back into the swing of things, but I know we are now all ready to go! Can you believe that we are already half way through this school year?! You will be 3rd graders before you know it! Let's keep up the great work and you know we will have a great time doing it! TEAMWORK!!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! :)

I am so excited for what is to come this week and next! I love, love doing winter/holiday activities!! Today, I had so much fun seeing you try to figure out who Auntie Claus actually was! I just love that book! This week, we will also be writing about living in a snow globe and I have a great idea for activity to go with it! You'll have to wait to see what it is!! Next week will be even better, I can't wait for Polar Express Day!! I hope you are as excited as I am!!

Our Field Trip Was So Much Fun!!

I had SO much fun today on our field trip. It was such a great production of "A Christmas Carol!" The characters were so interesting. I especially loved the part when you all got to ask the actors and actresses questions. You were asking great questions and I was so proud of you! Here are a few pictures from our trip.
