What a week!

Welcome Lee Spurs! It's been a while since I last posted, but boy have I (we) been busy! The first week of school in our amazing new building was fantastic. I have loved meeting each one of you and can't wait to get to know you better. We are going to have a great year! I look forward to the exciting things to come!

Texas Citrus!

How lucky can we get?! We just won a contest! A couple of months ago, we learned all about Texas Rio Star Grapefruits. We got to taste some too, and they were yummy! Today, we just received the amazing prize pack from texasweet.com! A huge box of juicy grapefruits, aprons and juicers! Looks like we have a delicious healthy snack to enjoy this afternoon!

Business is Booming!!

Wow!! Building a business is hard work!! We've been working on a business plan as well as our logos and now we have begun the process of creating our own toys and games. As Lilly said, "At first I thought this would be easy, but this sure is hard!!" We know that hard work pays off and our projects are really coming along! I can't wait to see how they turn out!

It's been awhile!!!

It has been too long since my last post! Sorry about the delay, but I was busy getting married!! Anyway, we have also been very busy in class as well. We are so excited that we were awarded some great things from DonorsChoose.org. We now have 1 iPad and 2 iPad minis!! We are so grateful for the donations to our class that made this possible. These are so helpful to our class, we can't wait to use them for our upcoming project!! Stay tuned...

Getting mail is the best!

We read so much in our class. We all love books! One of the stations that we can choose during rotations is to write a letter to our favorite author. Well, the best part of this has been receiving a response! So far, we have gotten a response from two of our all time favorites, Judy Blume and Patricia Polacco!! We know how busy an author is, so we really appreciate the time that they take to write us back. Here are the two letters we have recieved so far...
